On Gather, I'm Looking For ...: interesting viewpoints Interests Lately I've been listening to: Blue October Favorite Music, Artists, Genres: I like all different types of music. Here's a few off the top of my head: U2, flyleaf, finger eleven, blue october, patsy cline, evanesence, crowded house, the allman brothers band, korn, nine inch nails, and my guilty pleasure Duran Duran Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: My favorite all time read is To Kill a Mockingbird. I enjoyed the Harry Potter series. To dance with the white dog and the year the lights came on by Terry Kay are also favorites of mine., Terry Kay. (I had the best 30 second conversation with him once, just ask me and I'll tell you all about it) Anne George, George R.R. Martin, Harper Lee (duh), Julia Reed, Bailey White. You know it's funny, I love Southern writers. I love the familiar flavor their works have to my life expereinces. But sometimes they irk me, for instance I hate to see someone write something like, "ya see, here in the south we do it thisaway". While I respect and each authors individual perspective, when they take on the responsibility for speaking for people from the South as a whole, (which any one person is obviously not qualified to do) well...it gets my dander up. Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres: Oh I hate these questions because my favorite things change daily. Office Space, the Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Tombstone, the Patriot, Music and Lyrics Favorite TV Shows, Actors: Heroes, My name is Earl, the Office, ER, Desperate Housewives Interests and Activities: I surf the web a lot. I belong to a message board that was created purely to poke fun at rabid Duran Duran fans. I am a novice genealogist, which is another passion of mine. My grandmother taught me to respect where I come from, so now I'm tracing and branching that out as much as possible., I love to read. I read everything and anything from pop culture to my Dad's popular science magazine. I used to cross stitch a lot but I don't ahve much time. I enjoy sewing on a beginner level, but again, not much time. My time sink at the moment is playing Lord of the Rings Online. I have a elf hunter character who is lvl 47 out of 50. She kicks butt. She is my escape and an easy way to work out frustrations without involving the police.
